Fighting The River
A river can be a metaphor for life. Its watery rapids represent the directions, tribulations and opportunities you come across.
You, floating in the metaphorical river, can either fight the stream or accept its dominance and let it carry you with it.
Sometimes, when you are nearing a branch in the river you can challenge the water in a way that takes you down the branch you desire.
Once on the new path, it is too late to go back; the river will take you where it wants. Fighting is useless now.
You do not have enough energy to fight the river and be happy at the same time.
Choose to be happy. But when it truly matters; fight the river.
